Hello, I'm Elena
A project manager. A parent. An expatriate residing in Rome, Italy.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually blossomed into a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — new processes, new routines, new expectations. Day-to-day tasks seemed more challenging than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Sivlo Renati
Most information available online was either corporate relocation guidance or lightweight tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real-life experience in Italy.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical insights drawn from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever there is a real change
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Italy goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Elena
